Being a Friend of Nashulai is about more than helping us to achieve our mission and interdependent goals: CONSERVE WILDLIFE<>PRESERVE CULTURE<>REVERSE POVERTY. It’s about becoming a part of our community, and joining the global conversation about the power of self-sustaining communities, place-based conservation, indigenous self-determination and our collective future as members of humanity. Our work sits in the heart of that urgent conversation.
When you become a Friend of Nashulai you…
Can participate in Friends with Questions, an open Q&A correspondence: we’ll gather up your questions, whether about life in Nashulai, our animals or birds, or traditions, and regularly share answers to giving you special insight into Nashulai.
Have access to the Nashulai Dialogues (currently under development). These will involve live-streaming conferences with three of our leaders: Nelson Ole Reiyia, Maasai leader and Co-Founder of our Conservancy; Ric (Olomunyak) Young, Co-Founder, and leading thinker and practitioner in transformative social change; and Maggie Koshal Reiyia, Director of Family, Gender and Education, which you can join from the comfort of your home.
Will receive a special package when you visit Nashulai in person (details to be announced).
Will receive special Nashulai artwork to use as you like (for example printing our beautiful logo –based on a Maasai wedding necklace– on your own T-shirt or mug or to use as a screen saver).
Will receive dispatches about what’s happening at Nashulai.
Will have a tree planted in your name here at Nashulai.
We look forward to getting to know you!
